Sex Builds Better Health Eight Great Ways

When you have S-E-X on your mind, chances are H-E-A-L-T-H is the last thing you're thinking about - but the two actually go hand-in-glove! Sex promotes both our physical and psychological health, according to experts, and here are eight ways it helps:

1) Sex Busts Stress. Scottish researchers studied the sexual activity of 24 women and 22 men, then put them in stressful situations such as public speaking. The subjects who had intercourse withstood stress better than those who either abstained from sex or engaged in other sexual activities.

2) Sex Burns Calories. Sex burns up 85 calories in 30 minutes, and 40 half-hour sessions will burn about 3500 calories, which is enough to lose a pound.

3) Sex Builds Cardiovascular Health. English researchers found fear of a stroke during sex is groundless. They followed 900 men for 20 years and found no connection. On the other hand, they found that the men who had sex at least twice a week reduced their risk of a heart attack by half compared to men who had it less than once a month.

4) Sex Builds Immunity. Having sex several times a week has been linked with raising levels of the antibody immunoglobulin A (IgA), which helps ward off colds, according to researchers at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

5) Sex Builds Bonds. Sex raises the level of the hormone oxytocin, known popularly as the "love hormone," which results in building trust and strengthening bonds. The more contact - including hugs - the higher the level.

6) Sex Lowers Pain. As the love hormone oxytocin builds, endorphins rise, which results in lowering of pain. If aches and pains are better after sex, it's because of oxytocin levels.

7) Sex Lowers Risk of Prostate Cancer. Frequent ejaculations in young men may lower the risk of prostate cancer in later years. Australian researchers studied men with and without prostate cancer, and found frequent ejaculations in men in their 20s offered protection, but found no such link for men in their 30s, 40s, and 50s.

8) Sex Promotes Sleep. Oxycontin is at the forefront again - it helps both men and women sleep, which in turn promotes healthy weight and blood pressure. (Although women would almost universally say it had a much stronger effect on men, who are wide-awake one minute and sawing logs the next.)

Males By Nature Are Polygamous! ..cont'd

...continued from earlier post...Females on the other hand are monogamous...they are loyal to one male partner at a time. Because once they are impregnated they don't have any urge to mate anymore. Because they have sure bearer of their genes coming to this world. And after their youngs are weaned or hatched and carry on with their lives, the female may start mating again not necessarily with the same male before, but another winning male that attracts her.

But not the males, even though they may have planted their seeds in many females, they are still uncertain whether that seed will succeed. So they must plant as much seed as possible (to as many females as possible), so that the probability of his genes to carry on this world is higher. That is of course in the animal world, but human beings are just another animals with intelligence.!

Subconsciously the man will want to have as many female partners or wives or girl friends so that his heritage will continue living in this world. But as I stressed in my earlier posting, this urge is actually govern by many factors,eg. religions and customs. The human beings do also have the emotional faculty that guide this animalistic wants. Shame, respect, fear, piety and endurance are part of human characteristics that guide their behaviour.

A certain society may encourage polygamy to flourish but another society may not allow it at all. And as water flow cannot be contained, the poligamous urge of the men in that society will find many ways to have more then one female partners or wives. This will give rise to extra marital relationships, mistresses, casanova etc. Moreover, if this is not governed by certain rules, there shall be many problems arising from such practices. Bastards, unwanted children, broken families, divorces and many other society ills may appear in this society.

Eventhough Islam has clear guidelines and rules and conditions, they are still problems due polygamy. It is not the phylosaphy of poligamy that err it is more to the adherence of the Muslim men. Piety in men differ from one man to another. So in order for adherence to be strictly followed, the shariah law must be enforced by the Court. A man who wants to practice polygamy must fulfil the conditions set by the court failing which the court will take action on that man.

As a matter facts, the Muslim world are more at ease in their society. There are more tranquility and serinity there. Ofcourse the western mind may not agree to these facts. What they see is that the Islamic world discrimainate their womenfolks, when women have to share their husbands and have too much dress covering them (that another matter to discuss..may be in other postings). What the western minds do not see is the much lesser society ills and the general piece of mind in the Muslim world. In a world of turmoils, piece of mind is most precious!.

Males By Nature Are Polygamous!

That is true that male species are polygamous. Be it humans or animals. Males by nature woulkd go for multiple female partners (or would like for multiple partners. Have look at your house cats. The male cats always go for all the females on heat. Same as dogs, roosters, buffalos, etc, ect. Human males are the same. But for humans, we set rules and regulations and customs for guidance (or control, to be exact). It is like water, you can not halt the flow of water. If you do it will just find another way to flow by. When overflowing happens more damages can be caused. Hence, to halt the nature in the male species is unnatural but to control it with customs and belief will surely let the urge to subside. But the wanting is always there. Ask any man, you will a yes answer.

Because it is human nature (male nature), some religions or customs allow their believers to marry more then one. Islam is a good example. Islam does not forbid what is natural. Hence, Islam allows it followers to marry more then one but not more then four at one time. But ofcourse, there are certain rules and conditions to abide by. If a man cannot be adil (fair) to all his wives then it is better for him to marry only one. The responsibilities and burden are so heavy that you see most muslim men would not go for more then one wife. But by knowing that the provision is there, they are less stressful when dealing with their polygamous urge.
